A tapestry of textures, moods and colors, our Ocean View Caribbean suites masterfully blend Caribbean-influenced architecture with the vivid natural surroundings. The rooms offer welcomed privacy, yet are only steps from the large freshwater pool.

Ocean View Rooms
Nestled between our marina and pool and surrounded with colorful, palm fringed gardens are Peter Island's Ocean View rooms. Each offers postcard vistas of romantic sunsets, blue waters, and sailboats lazily drifting by in Sir Francis Drake's Passage.

The 32 air-conditioned rooms have a private outdoor area surrounded with clusters of tropical plants and palms. They are conveniently located near Tradewinds Restaurant, bar, and lounge and only a short walk from Deadman's Bay beach.

Four accommodations are in each structure -- two up and two down. The floorplan is designed to showcase the ocean views with French doors opening to spacious patios and balconies overlooking the gardens and the Caribbean.

Guests can relax in the large, overstuffed room chairs and recline in the comfortable deck lounge chair outside.

Ocean View rooms on the second level have French doors opening to a private balcony with deck chairs. Inside, a ceiling fan whirls under lofty beamed ceilings and over a king bed (twins on request), desk, and oversized lounge chairs.

Each main level room features a sun parlor with two lounge chairs flanking French doors leading to a garden patio.

Ocean View rooms are just steps from Peter Island's brilliant blue swimming pool. Take a swim, relax in a poolside chaise lounge, and order a refreshing tropical drink from the bar. A perfect day in paradise awaits you at Peter Island.

Beachfront Junior Suites
The golden roofs of Peter Island's Beach Front Suites peek through coconut palms at the far end of one of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean.

Each suite is surrounded with tropical gardens and has a balcony or patio overlooking Deadman's Bay and the British Virgin Islands beyond. Hammocks sway gently in the cool breeze and invite guests to relax and pamper themselves outdoors as well as within their elegant accommodations.

Suites Layout

Suites provide spaciousness as one area effortlessly flows into another. French doors open onto a patio or balcony with a table and deck chairs; the king sized bed resides in a nook across from a large sitting area. A romantic Jacuzzi, wide enough for two, is the highlight of the bath area.

Large windows and doors bring the outdoors in to match the furnishings with subdued palettes of sunny yellow, gold and Caribbean blues. Ceiling fans whirl over the bed and living area to supplement island breezes, or optional air-conditioning can provide cooling temperatures.

Euro shower and spa combinations include the Jacuzzi tub and double-headed shower fixtures on both walls of the walk through shower. A large window separates the Jacuzzi from the bedroom and provides ocean views while lavishly soaking. Bathroom interiors surround guests with imported Spanish tile and original stonework laid by one of the island's staff members, Hugh "Benji" Benjamin.

Tradewinds Restaurant
Named for the warm breezes that whisper through it, Tradewinds Restaurant boasts welcomed intimacy. Its large windows provide gorgeous views of Sir Francis Drake Channel and Tortola. Table dressings showcase German china, French silverware and Italian crystal.
Saturday evening features a bountiful buffet, which focuses on flavors of the Caribbean. An array of salads, meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits await guests, who are encouraged to leave room for a fabulous offering of desserts.

Before or after dining, Drake's Channel Lounge serves sumptuous cocktails and frozen drinks amidst cushioned chaises and soothing Caribbean breezes. Resort favorites include the Landscape, a tri-colored concoction of Midori, mango and raspberry, and the Mango Smoothie blended with ice cream, rum and coconut cream.

Tradewinds Wine Room
The variety and quality of wine offered in The Tradewinds Wine Room is reflected in the over 300 selections, including the Caribbean's most exclusive collection of champagne, wine, cognac, armagnac, grappa and eau de vie up to $450 per bottle.

Appreciating that extraordinary food and premier wine go together like sun and sand, Peter Island Resort added a wine room to Tradewinds, complete with a mahogany banquet table, floor-to-ceiling wine cases and precise climate control.

Every Thursday, Peter Island Resort welcomes 12 guests to the vintner's wine-pairing dinner in the private wine room, complete with floor-to-ceiling wine cases.

Deadman's Beach Bar & Grill
Secluded by seagrape trees and towering palms, Deadman's Beach Bar & Grill offers lighter fare for lunch and dinner. The restaurant features a wood-fired pizza oven and expansive salad bar buffet, plus hot entrees, sandwiches, and Peter Island's "finger-lickin'-good" ribs.

Evening at Deadman's brings an inviting blend of sumptuous Caribbean and Continental flavors. Each Sunday a live steel drum band plays through lunch in a casual setting just steps from the beach under the shade of a cedar shake roof. Monday night features a special West Indian buffet and the steel drum band returns to provide entertainment for dining and dancing under the stars. Jumby Stilt-walkers often come to enhance your fun.
