Opened in July, 2005, the Blue Parrot Suites Hotel 5th Avenue is the newest addition to the Blue Parrot Suites family of unique boutique properties.

Located at the epicenter of Playa del Carmen's hip and picturesque 5th Avenue, our newest boutique puts you steps from the best shopping, dining and clubbing that the town has to offer. Not to mention being just a short walk from the white sand beach of the Blue Parrot Suites Beach Club. (VIP access included for all Hotel guests!)

The Blue Parrot Suites Hotel 5th Avenue serves up contemporary style throughout seventeen cozy studios and one suite, all tucked away in a very private courtyard adjoining our Japanese restaurant Playasia.

Step out of your room and you?re transported into Playasia, a dining and cocktailing experience that's right out of a jungle fantasy. Designed from an amalgam of Caribbean, Southeast Asia and Morocco influences, Playasia features fresh sushi, sashimi and Southeast Asian specialties--served in multi level tree houses and pagodas overlooking a waterfall-fed pool.

In 1998, Newsweek magazine named the Blue Parrot Suites Beach Club ?one of the ten best bars in the world.

Since then, things have only gotten better.

As a Hotel guest, there is one very important thing that you need to know about the Blue Parrot Suites Beach Club; participation is optional. In other words, its far enough away from the Hotels that it won't disturb you if nightlife isn't you?re thing.

In Playa del Carmen, the Blue Parrot Suites Beach Club has been a ?must-do? for visitors for over two decades. Located directly on the white sand beaches of the turquoise Caribbean, the waves literally wash up feet from our dance floor.

During the day, sink into one of our plush Balinese loungers and soak up the sun and sea while our daytime DJ guides you through a gentle sensual journey. There's no need to go anywhere else. We offer full service food and beverage from 7:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

Come nightfall, the Beach Club undergoes a magical transformation as DJ's from around the world deliver an eclectic mix of dance music in two different environments. Our beach dance floor tends to feature more pop and retro, while the Palapa Lounge offers the chill out and progressive mix that our Latin American and European customers prefer.

The newly opened Blue Parrot Suites Suites--located about 50 meters from the Blue Parrot Hotel and beach--features 23 amenity-filled units in a variety of creative room configurations, including one and two bedrooms, deluxe and courtyard suites. Blue Parrot Suites Hotels in conjunction with celebrated Japanese Chef Elmer Komagata (K's Cafe, Hotel Nikko) is proud to present Playasia, Japanese and Pan-Asian dining adjoining the new Blue Parrot Suites Hotel 5th Avenue (12th Street & 5th Avenue).

Playasia's playful "Jungle-chic" design emerges in a dramatic open-air courtyard environment featuring a waterfall-fed jungle fantasy "village" of palapas and multi-level tree houses built over a glowing jewel-tone pool. Overhead lighting is provided by a funky assortment of vintage Mexican chandeliers and glowing orbs imported from Morocco. The focal point pool slowly cycles through a spectrum of colors.

Playasia's fun and energetic atmosphere offers diners a versatile menu featuring a wide array of appetizers and entrees sure to suit all tastes and occasions.

Warm glowing candles and a lush jungle habitat provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing lunch or dinner in the center of Playa del Carmen's 5th Avenue entertainment and shopping district. Playasia's extensive menu incorporates a harmonious yet adventurous blend of sushi and sashimi, as well as additional Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese specialties.

Playasia's twin Bangkok-inspired bars mix a sultry assortment of specialty cocktails, global wines and Asian beers. The entire dinner menu is available at the bar, making it the perfect spot for meeting friends, or for after work cocktails and appetizers.
